Over the past 20 years, our family has watched the city of Centennial grow and develop, and as our roots became more engrained in our community so did my desire to actively contribute to its advancement. As an autobody shop, car dealership, and retail housing development owner, I am humbled to be a part of this passionate community. However, over this time period I’ve come to witness stagnation in the specific sub-district in which our new project site is located. Visions of great potential have inspired my contributions to reviving this underutilized part of the Denver Metropolitan Area. Considering its prime location, I’m excited to embark on Antal Development’s next and largest project, Yosemite Gardens. When this plot came on the market, we saw an opportunity to invest in an area that could become, and was intended by city planners to become, the centerpiece of Centennial.
The Yosemite Gardens project site is located within southeast Denver near the Denver Tech Center (DTC). The City of Centennial has designated the immediate area as an Urban Center District intended for mixed-use redevelopment, with Yosemite Gardens paving the way towards this bright and bustling future. A strong focus on multi-family with mixed-use supporting retail and office space is desired, as the market of the immediate area continues to show increased demand and healthy projected rental growth through the next decade. In addition, the DTC area is a pocket of higher-than-average household income, which can support the anticipated rental rate growth. These cumulative reasons drive the desire for development of the Yosemite Gardens project and its surrounding areas.
With the Nine County Denver Metro area population expected to more than double over the next ten years, and redevelopment of the subject area is just beginning, now is the time to invest in growth and development of this site. In addition to Yosemite Garden’s prime location being visible from Interstate 25, the project shows strong potential for success. Per the aggregate demand for new housing in the Nine County Region (60% projected demand for rental housing) and past construction projects successful integration into the market, we look forward to not only contributing the growth and success of the Denver Metropolitan Area, but are honored to give back to the community that my family and I cherish and have thrived in. The development of Yosemite Garden’s new rental spaces for residential, retail, and office use is a big step forward in the continued evolution and expansion of the Denver Metropolitan Area that Antal Development is proud to partake in.
